CR1700 Site Superintendent I – Fuels

Superintendent for project sites in the US for repairs to Department of Defense (DoD) Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL) facilities. This position may require travel up to 90% of the time to project sites, depending on project location.  Due to travel requirements, the candidate can live anywhere in the US mainland with travel to project sites. ECC offers a smaller family feel company culture, great benefits, and exceptional family medical / dental insurance!

  • Coordinate with the project team, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization

  • Compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers

  • Attend all in-briefs and out-briefs

  • Key implementer of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activities

  • Assist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager

  • Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges and general field operations

  • Assist in identifying task-specific equipment to achieve the objectives of a task. When appropriate, operate the equipment as needed 

  • Assume the role of  team lead to assist the quality control officer and health and safety officer in maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures, and sound field practices while achieving project objectives

  • Coordinate with the team to prioritize field activities and identify task assignments

  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position


  • Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projects at minimum
  • Knowledge of scheduling and budgeting for large construction projects
  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field, equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Prefer candidates with five or more years of experience with Fuels construction projects
