Lab tech - SEI 039

This is not a job announcement, as we do not yet have a vacancy. However, since this will be a short-notice fill, we are trying to vet candidates now. T Square Logistics Service Corporation will have a vacancy at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas for a Fuels Laboratory Technician with a Fuels Quality Control Course Laboratory Special Experience Identifier (SEI 039) certificate and experience to fill during Spring/Summer 2017. All applicants must currently possess a valid CDL Driver’s License with a hazardous
endorsement.

Laughlin AFB is located in Del Rio Texas, 150 miles southwest of San Antonio Texas. Competitive pay and benefits. Excellent opportunity for someone separating or retired from the military.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains quality control of petroleum fuel and cryogenic products.
• Collects and analyzes product samples from receipt sources, bulk storage tanks, and
dispensing equipment IAW with 42B-1- 1.
• Documents analysis results in FAS and reviews quality trend analysis records.
• Establishes a sample correlation program with the aerospace fuels area laboratory to ensure
the integrity of the base-level analysis procedures.
• Collects fuel samples from crashed aircraft and submits them to the area laboratory for full
specification analysis.
• Ensures an effective product segregation and recovery program is implemented.
Implements the lock out, tag out program to prevent the use of substandard fuel or
facilities.
• Other assigned duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Possess a valid state CDL Driver’s License Class B with a hazardous endorsement.
• Completion of the formal Fuels Quality Control course; completion of the original Air Force
Quality Control course number J3AZR2F051-001 will satisfy the requirement.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Shall have commercial or military/government experience in performing fuels and
cryogenics sampling and testing tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management five-skill level
(2F051) personnel with laboratory Special Experience Identifier.
• Experience should include: taking and analyzing product samples from all receipt, storage,
and issue methods; documentation, recording, and computer input requirements;
laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance; and laboratory safety.

Aircraft Servicer

T Square Logistics Service Corporation will have a vacancy at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas for (2) two Aircraft Servicer/Driver positions to fill during Spring/Summer 2017. All applicants must currently possess a valid CDL Driver’s License with a hazardous endorsement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall have commercial or military experience in driving/operating fuel servicing vehicles and equipment performing tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management five-skill level (2F051) personnel or similar commercial/military standard.
  • Shall have all current and valid professional certifications before starting work.
  • Operates a fuel truck for delivery of Jet-A fuel, loads vehicle with fuel, delivers Jet-A to flight line and refuels aircraft observing all safety protocols.
  • Responds to fuel servicing requests while complying with airfield safety standards and speed limits and includes inspections of fuel servicing equipment.
  • Responsible for all safety requirements applicable to aircraft fuel servicing, fuel truck replenishments and other operations involving fuel movements. 
  • Operates in an environment with fluctuating workloads based on the number of aircraft sorties scheduled.
  • Complies with fuel safety and Environmental Protection Agency directives, and monitors fuel filtering and metering equipment during operations to detect any malfunctions.
  • Aware of all phases and responsibilities involved in the aircraft servicing.
  • Be flexible to work multiple shifts.
  • Perform other duties as Aircraft Servicer/Driver as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a valid state CDL Driver’s License Class B with a hazardous endorsement.
  • Able to pass a military flight line driving permit test.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Shall have commercial or military experience in driving/operating fuel servicing vehicles and equipment performing tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management five-skill level (2F051) personnel or similar commercial/military standard.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and criminal background check.
  • Shall have all current and valid professional certifications before starting work.

Description

We have first or second shifts available for Fuelers in our Palmdale facility.  Responsible for the liquid fuel system operations at established locations as needed in accordance established operating and safety procedures. Will operate mobile and hydrant refueling equipment in all modes of operation to dispense products to aircraft and ground support equipment at facilities.

Maintains and repairs chemical, fuel and other systems involving high pressure, cryogenic and toxic gases as required. Performs technical fuels functions including but not limited to replacing broken valves, gaskets, seals, pipes, fittings, ordering of parts, correct pumping equipment misalignment, and calibration to keep systems operating properly. Orders, receives, inspects, and distributes jet fuel delivered on site.

Will coordinate refueling requirements with supported agencies and ensures appropriate prioritization of support requirements. Follows safety and environmental protection procedures in ventilating tanks and proper disposing of sludge and detect toxic hazards including clean up.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a HS diploma or GED and 4 years fueling experience of military aircraft.


Preferred Qualifications:

Class B Commercial Driver License with HAZMAT endorsement

Active Secret Clearance

Lab School/ and or fuel sampling experience
