Terminal and Pipeline Supervisor

Position Description

  • Reviews reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department operations.
  • Directs and coordinates all Terminal & Pipeline activities and ensures workers and equipment are available when and where they are needed.
  • Acts as person in charge (PIC) during all vessel off-loading procedures as required by the USCG.
  • Coordinates product receipt from suppliers via pipeline, tanker or barge, tank truck and rail car deliveries.  Manages in terminal storage or refined petroleum product.
  • Investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences.
  • Complies with the Station’s attendance/tardiness policy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 3 to 11 employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, making hiring recommendations, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Job Requirements:
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Previous pipeline experience preferred.
